Spend the week looking at the superlatives Minnesota has
to offer. We’ll travel to Duluth, the North shore,
the Iron Range, Voyageurs National Park, Pelican Rapids,
Walnut Grove, Rochester, the Twin Cities and more! Sights
we’ll stop at include the world’s largest ball
of twine rolled by one man, the world’s largest tiger
muskie, world’s largest ear of corn, Mall of America,
Mickey’s Diner, and of course, Paul & Babe. This
intensive allows students to get to know more about the history
of this great state firsthand. Assignments include a research
project about two of our stops, map/navigation skills, journaling,
and a photo collage/scrapbook. It promises to be Jumbo Large! |

culture and geography of the American Civil War. The main
focus will be visting various historical Civil War sites
along with a photo journal to be made into a power point
presentation. |
Paper Airplanes to Aeronautics

fly? This intensive will explore the world of flight. Learn
about everything from what makes the best paper airplane
to how jets and helicopters fly. We'll tour an airplane
assembly factory, build egg gliders, research famous aviators,
learn control surfaces, the parts of a plane and the physics
of flight. For the finale, we'll take a flight around the
Bemidji area. |
Mythbusters!

Join us on the fun filled adventure of mythbusting. This
intensive offers an opportunity to research, test and bust
common myths. From stage 1, choosing a few common myths
to its final stage of testing, this intensive will attempt
to replicate myths using science.Use tools to build simple
and elaborate research devices. If you like the show, you'll
love this intensive. |

Teach students how electric instruments (guitars, microphone,
keyboad) relate to mixing board and speakers. Learn how
ow to set-up and use equipment such as P.A. system and
recording systems and learn how to be a DJ. We will record
students who wish to perform or play, and we will host
a dance and students will DJ. |
